Unlike other countries (Cambodia, Thailand, and etc.). where you can get the visa the directly at border gates upon landing, for Vietnam VOA you are required to apply for Vietnam Visa Approval Letter through a Vietnamese agency in order to get Vietnam Visa stamped onto your passport at Vietnam International Airports when you arrive.
The 15-day free visa exemption has been extended to June 2020 for the passport holders from United Kingdom, France, - Spain, Italy and Germany. Travellers from these countries can travel to Vietnam without a visa for 15 days, longer term visas can be obtained through visa on arrival or at the local embassy.
Effective from November 2014, travellers who fly directly to Phu Quoc airport and just stay in the island for no longer than 30 days will not require an entry visa.

Note:
1. Visitors arriving in Vietnam as a visa-free visitor will have to buy a two-way ticket and make a temporary schedule to submit to the immigration authority. After 30 days from the latest exit can continue to use the free visa exemption when you want to re-enter.
2. Our advice to visitors interested in exploring and experiencing is not to use the free visa exemption to travel in Vietnam, to avoid the potential for unwanted problems, in the case of not following the Vietnam tour schedule they have submitted to the immigration authority before.
